  • Flowering twice?

So after the lovely weather we've been having recently I wasn't surprised when one of my roses which has only ever flowered once a year (but granted we've only been at the house 3 years) has got buds on it again which is lovely. But am I going bonkers or is our magnolia grandeflore trying to flower again?

My pear flowered twice too, about a week or so ago, with pears on the tree, safe to say you're eyes are not tricking you

Roses have done really well too, repeat flowering has been more than in the past years, apparently roses in general have done really well this year in the hot weather

Team my roses flower twice a year depending on the weather.
This year they have all flowered a second time because of the hot weather,

And when your back stops aching,
And your hands begin to harden.
You will find yourself a partner,
In the glory of the garden.

My roses have been fabulous this year - they’ve never been so good. Dead heading as soon as they go over will also encourage a new flush of flowers.

It has been an exceptionally good year for roses. Awful for fuschias here though.

Just as a side note did you water that iris that didn't flower Jimny ?

Hi Jen, iris wise yes it was watered as much as we could, unfortunately we were away for the driest time over here. Will see what happens next year I think although I think they could do with moving somewhere sunnier.
