Help identifying this herb

Hi,
this is my first post here but I'm sure there will be a lot more as this is my first year trying to grow a few different types of veg in my raised bed and containers.
But... this is unrelated to all of that. I have this herb somebody gave me telling me it was sage, its obviously not sage but I am not sure what it is. I usually use herbs in cooking but they are limited to 4 or 5 different ones so I am not sure about this one. It could be something very common that I just never used. Ive googled but I cant find anything with the reddish underside on the leaves.
Here are a few pictures. I would be grateful if any of you could help me identify it.

When you rub or crush the leaves does it smell of anything?

Yes, it smells quite strong, but as its not a herb I'm familiar with, the smell doesnt help me identify it.
I though Thyme too from the size and shape of the leaves, but the red under some of the leaves made me think it might not be.

It does look like thyme and there are a load of varieties that don't smell of thyme.

Looks like Thyme, although the leaves are a bit big. Definitely not Winter Savory (unless it has a plasticy smell to the leaves). The only other possibility is Marjoram.
