  • Basil + Tarragon

    Dear All

    Would you know when the Basil and Tarragon ends and the herbs start to die off for the season. Knowing this allows me to adapt some recipes to make use of them.

    Also I could use the Basil plants for my Parsley which have outgrown their pots

    Does anyone keep Tarragon and Basil inside their homes and if so , how much extra time do you get with them. I do not have a green house sadly

    Hello - I'm in Kent and my (French) tarragon is still very green. I would think it will start yellowing in a month's time if the temperature drops. I plan to cut lots of branches and pick individual leaves to freeze in a tupperware box. This way I will have 'fresh' tarragon all winter. I still have frozen leaves from 2 years ago which are still as tasty as if they were plucked yesterday.
    Basil - I've never managed to grow outdoor but I have a hydroponic indoor system (Botanium) that I use for basil and I finished the latest batch during the weekend.
