      Sweet Marjoram?

      * Agree VC went for Marjoram because of the pinkish flowers *

Thanks all, confirmed by thoughts (although was slightly put off when a local food pro smelled, then tasted it and told be I was wrong). It's continually spreading in a clump so often gets hacked back and used in Mediterranean dishes

I think it’s oregano, not sweet marjoram. Marjoram has the knotted flowers. I love marjoram in cooking but oregano just tastes bitter to me.
