  • Gobsmacked by Parsley!

I'm gobsmacked......I sowed some curly parsley seed a week ago and it's germinating all over the place!

I'm really chuffed as I thought it was a tricky number to get to grow. I shall now be sowing lots more
Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!

I've never found it hard to grow either. Some things get a reputation that's not entirely deserved.

I am sure the saying goes Parsley grows where the woman rules the roost.

Not sure how much truth is in this, our parsley flourishes
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

I have no success with parsley - I try to start it in pots in a propagator. Perhaps I am treating it too carefully! Any advice/tips??

I had no joy last year. This year I popped some seeds into pots and popped them onto a windowsill, that did the trick for me.

Mine is growing fine and I just chucked it in a pot on the windowsill. Interesting to hear about the wearing the trousers comment though, will keep an eye on the woman from now on!
Rotten gardener, much better at sci fi knowledge but trying REAL hard to grow anything I can eat

The OH grows parsley commercially at work (where do you think Paxo get there's from) he's been planting all week when it wasn't raining leaving me do do the lambing- I hate sheep. They grow several acres of it and they don't bother with propagators just drill it into a fine seed bed then roll it in

Those poor sheep doesnt it hurt when you drill their heads? Sorry, warped sense of humour. I used to love lambingf when I was little but its so different to having to do it isnt it.

I must admit I do feel a little sorry for the males when we use the "Rubber Rings"
