  • Basil and Parsley thinning out

I've sown pots of Parsley and Basil they are all coming along nicely,

Question is do I thin them out to a single seedling per pot? as in will each little seedling produce a big plant or do I keep them in a pot and treat like the ones from the supermarket?

I've never grown herbs before so excuse my ignorance!!!
Nestled somewhere in the Cambridgeshire Fens. Good soil, strong winds and 4 Giant Puffballs!
Always aim for the best result possible not the best possible result

I've just thinned some of mine out to about 5 in a pot. Same with my north indian red spinach.

You definitely need more than one per pot but if it's looking congested then thin out a bit. You can always use the thinnings in your cooking however small they are they tend still to taste good and I hate waste!

Some of us live in the past, always talking about back then. Some of us live in the future, always planning what we are going to do. And, then there are those, who neither look behind or ahead, but just enjoy the moment of right now.

Which one are you and is it how you want to be?
