I got mine from transplants. A friend of ours with a farm had it growing in her garden - seed blown in from the fields. She brought some into work and I took it home and transplanted it. It does need mega watering for a couple of weeks -but once you've got it it keeps coming from seed. I like it in the ice-cubes in a G&T and also scattered on a salad - it's the nearest I do to sophistication!

Just pick what you need from the spare ground for now, and dig up a couple of small plants to put on your own plot. If they're small they should transplant OK. Borage is an annual, but self-seeds prolifically. Once you've got it you've got it for ever (bonus - the bees love it)

Never heard of it until now - always had Pimms with mint, cucumber, orange and ice, lots of ice.

Must be posh Pimms where you have it?
