Sorrel propagation?

Hi,
I bought a couple of sorrel plants earlier this year. I'm glad I did, because I've discovered that I love it - I had no idea it tasted so very much of lemon! It's delicious in salads.

Anyway, a friend of mine is planning to buy some sorrel seeds, and as my plants are beginning to spread, I wondered if it's possible to just divide them and give him some?

You need to divide it, in autumn or early spring while growth is minimal. Carefully dig up the plant, split it in half, and replant the two plants either into the ground or in pots.
