Coriander from shop bought

I've not grown coriander for years, as I found it ran to seed so quickly. I'm wondering if anyone has any success planting out potted supermarket coriander? It works a treat with basil which always has loads of plants in the pot. Is it worth trying coriander?

Babru I've not tried it either I grow mine from seeds but it bolted during the last heat wave. I'll be sowing some more September time.

I may try this too. I grew mine from seed and grew it indoors hoping it would have a more consistent temperature - but it’s just started flowering

A month on from splitting a supermarket pot of coriander, the plants are doing well, with no flowers so far. In fact, there has been more germination of seeds clearly already in the original clump. Definitely worth a go.

Great news…I’m inspired to try again but this time with shop bought ( if I can find it!)
