Does anyone know of a good herb supplier, i'd really like to grow different types of mint this year and all i can get hold of is just plain mint, i really like the idea of chocolate mint, banana mint etc.... any recommendations guys?

jekkssherbfarm, is the only place i can find banana mint, and you have to make an order of over £15 for them to post out to you,
i have
chocolate,
grapefruit,
orange
pineapple
ginger
all mints,
and i have taken cuttings from them, if you want i can post you the ones that have taken well,
i have also been after the banana mint, but not quite willing to pay over 15quid
Thompson and Morgan do a variety pack of mint plants for about £6-7, I've ordered them and they will arrive in the spring for outdoor planting. I can't remember exactly what they have, but it's something like pineapple mint, apple mint, purple mint, etc. I'm looking forward to trying them all.
I have a few mints also, not the banana one though, will have to get that one! Have apple, pineapple, standard garden, chocolate, spearmint, don't mind swapping a few cuttings in Spring if anyone is interested?
I regularly send people tearings [rather than cuttings] of my mints...chocolate mint seems to be the favourite. Remind me in the spring if anyone wants any - we usually chop it back around April time.

If you keep a couple of plastic bags in your pocket(just in case and by accident),you could hypothetically place a cutting in the bag, blow in the bag then seal it,the moisture from your breath prolongs the life of the cutting..........allegedly!!!
Are mint really that easy to grow from cutting? Was going to take a cutting of my mums mint plant in spring, can you just cut off any part of the plant?
Try ripping a bit up from the soil- it's bound to have a few roots on- and if not, it soon will if you stand it in a glass of water on the windowsill for a week or so
