  • My first question - Curry plants?

I apologise if this is the wrong place but here goes!

I'm looking to start growing a variety of herbs in my garden over the next year or so and I'm interested in having a Curry Plant. I know that one of the best to get is Murraya koenigii, but is this the only plant you can get? Also I know that it's best to grow from a shrub, but does it have any special requirements? eg, What kind of soil or feed does it need and does it need to be kept in the warm?

I've found some information but not very much detail, but I'd also like to know how to use it for cooking. I'm guessing just pestle it and go, but if anyone has advice, it would be more than welcome!

Curry Plant is Helichrysum Italicum, and it's not edible (well it is, but it doesn't taste of curry) BBC - Gardening - Plants - Plant Finder - Helichrysum italicum

Your Curry Leaf Plant (murraya koenigii) is frost tender, and is as big as a tree, so ... build a big greenhouse? Murraya koenigii - Wyevale

I love to grow a curry leaf plant. Looked into it last year and decided it wasn't worth the effort. Sadly.
