start to grow things now in my mini greenhouse. After a really bad year last year with things getting eaten i sort of gave up but would like to know when the best time to start growing would be.
thanks lou
I take it that it isn't heated 100pylou? The other problem is that with plants that are going to germinate fairly quickly there is not yet enough daylight for them to be happy. A lot of people think that all plants have to be is warm, but they do need light as well otherwise they go leggy growing up to find the light.
I use my greenhouse in winter for sheltering plants that are already established but don't like frost. If I move them into the house (living house, not green house) they are too warm and turn sickly. But in a greenhouse they can go nicely dormant without freezing their follicles off.
I would germinate your seeds in the living house (if you have a propagator so much the better) and time them to be moved into the greenhouse in late March, even in sunny Devon. Then you can plant them out when frost danger is passed.
Why didn't Noah just swat those 2 greenflies?
Why are they called apartments when they are all stuck together?
