  • Brown leaves on Rosemary

I've got 2 rosemary plants growing in pots the one is looking really healthy but on the other the leaves are turning brown.

Never had any problems before they have always stayed green throughout the year. Don't think it's due to the frosts as it has only happened in the last week.

    Hi Borage

How old are the Rosemary plants? I tend to renew mine every 2/3 years.

The plants are 2 years old, they replaced one which I had had for about 6 years which had gone woody.

It could be wind damage - I've had that happen on the windward side of an exposed bush. Are they in a windy area?

They are close up to the house which is usually very sheltered but we have had very high winds of late and it is the one that was further away from the house so it could be wind damage. Thanks Flummery.

Try pruning it out - it might be a bit lopsided but if you can live with that, the rest of the bush should be ok.
