  • Is this Rocket?

    Hello.

I have salad rocket in the herb garden but also this, which I think is a form of rocket. Do you recognize the white flowers?

    Thanks.

Thanks Two Sheds and davefromthechipie. Silly of me not to think of tasting the leaves! I'll do that. And I'll try the flowers.

i grow two types of rocket - a perennial roquette sauvage which comes back every year and looks like the one in your picture and an annual one from seed which has broader leaves......both taste good......

Jings, I'm learning every day. That doesn't look like anything I would think of as rocket. I now know there are about 20 varieties. I've only ever seen it like this.

Thanks, everyone for taking the time to reply. It is a perennial plant, so I think that must be it. Nice to know what it is.

Great link to the varieties of rocket, Alice, thank you - I've bookmarked that.

Does that mean that salad rocket (Spanish rocket) is an annual? I'll look it up through the link.

                  Herb Seeds Ramsons to Rupturewort

Through the link Alice gave, I found this site that provides various rocket seeds and all sorts of herbs.
