My coriander is looking really sad I bought a new plant and the big leaves have disappeared and it has two piddly little leaves and it's refusing to grow!

I had a surprise yesterday-a few years ago my friend gave me lovage.I stuck it into the ground but the plant wasn't too happy with raspberries taking whole sunshine so it died(or so I thought).
Yesterday I had a look at one of beds that I cleared from raspbs and other stuff, there it was!Lovage planted a while ago decided to make reappearance
I love the taste of it,I planted some lovage from seed so the garden is going to have lots of lovage growing in it

I have variegated sage, blackcurrant sage, basil, curly parsley, thyme, oregano, marjoram, dill, rosemary, 3 types of mint, lavender and chives.
I use tons of basil and we use the oregano, marjoram, thyme and parsley a lot in Italian dishes. The chives go into scrambled egg or omelettes. My favourite thing to do with sage is fry some leaves in olive oil so they go crispy, then pour the oil over spaghetti and season it with salt & black pepper. Gorgeous!
I'm informed that the blackcurrant sage goes very well with lamb and the rosemary and dill are good with fish, but I'm vegetarian so I don't know personally!
I use the dill in a Middle Eastern dish - fry 1tbsp each of cumin & mustard seeds, 4 cloves garlic & about 15 curry leaves, add 1lb spinach, 7tbsp chopped fresh dill & 6tbsp plain yogurt. Cook it until the liquid is absorbed then add 2tbsp lemon juice, 1-2tsp chili powder & 2 tins of blackeyed beans. You can add some water at this point - the recipe says add 350ml of water but I usually only put a bit in. Simmer for 10 mins then serve (it goes very well with some pitta bread and/or rice).

Always me ranting about Basil, but depends on the variety you try, Sweet Genovese (indoors possibly out in a good summer) loads more you can put out! Love the stuff and have got loads of types to try this year
