  • Pocket money from the herb bed

Chives seed themselves really easily in my garden and I'd like to make some pocket money by trying to sell pots of chives through the local greengrocers. Would this be classed as selling food, rather than just selling a plant and would I therefore need any special paperwork? (p.s., I know this isn't a business plan that will have Alan Sugar quaking in his boots!) Any advice appreciated.

I don't know the answer to your question, I'm sorry, but I was just thinking that the greengrocer might know?

I agree with TS I would sell on ebay. I've bought a few plants from ebay and as long as they have been wrapped properly they have turned up okay

Plants also sell very well at car boot sales.
