  • Repotting bays

I've grown some bay seedlings from seed (have so far sown 10 and 7 have come up thus far..I think, have lost count)..and some are getting rather big for their 4-5" pots.

I'm planning on repotting them..so do I do it in a slightly bigger pot or a much bigger one? I'm also not sure whether I should put them in pots on the patio for now or keep them in houseplants if that's at all possible?

I might have to give/swap some away I think - otherwise I'll end up with a bay forest!

    Any tips/thoughts/help?

    cheers

As a rule of thumb the pot should not be bigger than the plant. I would choose a soil based compost.

They can be used for hedging.
