    Lovage is one of my favourites...an absolute must for home meade chicken soup!! and lovely with lemon thyme in a stuffing....

        Fennel... I use the fern like leaves in salads (tastes like aniseed), I don't bother with the bulb, just keep as a perennial and chop it back a bit when it gets too tall.

          I'm NO expert at taking cuttings but I did manage to take a few sprigs of lemon verbena from a friend's garden (with permission) in the summer and they rooted very easily.

          I've just brought them in from the greenhouse and put them on the windowsill of an unheated spare room. Do you think they'll survive or should I do something different?

            Lemon grass grown from stalks bought in a supermarket. They are really getting huge.

              I have Lemongrass, both from supermarket stalks and grown from seed.

              The only other slightly unusual herb I grow is Horseradish. Doesn't smell when you brush up against it, but a bit of fresh grated root with roast beef blows your socks off
