  • Lavender grown from seed

I have a number of pots with lavender grown from seed in them in the greenhouse. All are about 4" long now but none showing any signs of bushing out - do I need to nip the growing tips and if so when?

Mine are very slow too. Yes, nip them out to make them bushier.

Hi, I have never grown Lavender from seed until this year (freebie with a mag.) It was a French variety which I started in the heated propagator in Feb. I left mine to it and placed outside around May, they are around 8" tall and bushy now, might have to try some more varieties now. Don't know which variety you are growing and whether the French Lavender is easier to grow or not. I transferred to 2" peat pots around the 1" stage.
