  • storing and using corriander

    Hi there,

I have grown corriander for the first time this year mainly to try and make homemade Indian dishes but i have been using it pasta dishes and meatball dishes, which has worked out pretty well surprisingly!

What do you all use your leaves in?

As it is an annual, i will not have fresh coriander over the winter. How do I store it? I have lots at the moment. When it seeds and I grind the seeds do I use the ground coriander for different things than the fresh leaves?

Thanks, any tips would be super!

Best way to store the leaves is to chop finely and freeze in ice cube trays (topped up with water). The leaves and seeds have completely different tastes. I would just save the dried seeds and grind them as you need them. You could also save some to sow next year, or in pots on the kitchen windowsill for all=year round use as fresh leaves.
