  • How often should i trim thyme?

    i have this thyme planted in a pot i want to use it like every week for my cooking how often should i trim these stems can i trim it down to its end?

    Haven't grown thyme in a pot for a while. It looks like it needs a good haircut just don't go too far into the woody part of the stem. You can freeze the sprigs - makes it easier to pick off the leaves. It can be split to rejuvenate in April. What you are after is encouraging the soft new shoots which are good to cook with fresh.
    It may keep going all year in Egypt - just read your location!

      i think that all the stems seem too woody already even at the top will they grow again if i trim them?

        They should do, gun-powder - cut some of them and see how the plant reacts.

          it looks gud, but i would def trim it back, not into old wood tho, it dosent like that, just a kinda small haircut, and it will be back strong in the spring
