You did - and there was....I've moved all the last few day's post on that one onto here, and closed the old one [which can be found in New Shoots].

Oh rhubarb! I was subscribed to the old thread and never noticed we were supposed to have started!

I'm going to the supermarket today and will get some ginger. So wait for meeeeee!

One question. If you've only got one piece of root, do you still need a 14" container?

thanks bigmally, i've got 3 bits on the go so hopefully i'll have done it right with at least one of them!

Hope not, mines in a 4" pot...........see pic above. Will pot on as needed.

Not really sure what is happening to mine. They did not have shoots when I started them in moist compost. They now appear to have one or two soft swellings. I have covered them with used teabags and put them in the propagator next to the chillis
