Jilly, I can only just see the green shoots and I really mean "just" When I can see the shoots properly I'll get Mr Frosty to take a photo (Mr Frosty's camera and he gets anxious when I touch his cameras)
Looks great Bren, I'm keeping an eye on mine as the bottom leaf has turned brown. Unsure if it's under or over watering.

you need to be on the look out for a good piece of ginger to grow, some that has little green bumps on it. QUOTE]
Sorry to but in, as I'm not part of your ginger growing challenge, but I've never ever seen a piece of ginger with little green bumps on it. Have I just been unlucky?

I have planted some without green sprouting just placed the nodes up and something is definitely stirring under the compost

I've never seen any green on ginger either, including this one i'm trying to grow
How's your bottom leaf? You were way ahead of me at the start so I wonder if I'm catching up?
It seems to have stood still. It's still in the shower room but hasn't grown. I was wondering if it was time maybe to give it some food. It's still about 12-14"

If it's that tall it's hardly standing still is it? This one is on a N facing windowsill over the radiator and has just released it's first pair of leaves.

Looking good Bren, when I say standing still, it hasn't grown in 2 weeks.
