    As title. Have read conflicting reports on the internet, some saying the germination rate is poor without chilling, others saying this is due to the short viability of stored seeds...

      Thanks. Sowed them directly and left them in the garden covered with clingfilm. Three days later they've germinated (Munstead, Hidcote and French)

        wish I'd thought to ask - I had stacks of lavender seeds brought from Lost Garden of Heligon and not 1 of them germinated after following their advice of chilling for a couple of weeks.
