  • Pineapple Sage advice needed

    Hi all
I have been given a small pineapple sage plant whilst on holiday in Paignton.
    My questions are:-

1, can i take a cutting, even though the plant is only 6 inches high.

2, How well does it over winter, should i keep it in the greenhouse.

3, what location in the garden would it prefer ( sunny / shade etc.)

I think you'll find these link helpful mrscorpio. I grew a blackcurrant sage a few years ago and a tangerine one last year there pretty easy to take cuttings from.

Cuttings are easy, my pineapple died outside in the winter (a mild one, not this last one)

My pineapple sage dies every winter! But I like to replace it every year, unfortunately taking cuttings of herbs is something I've never managed - I've only been trying for about 10 years - so early days yet!
