Found this which may suggest that it would just be easier to buy them !!
"Cloves are probably the most easy to recognize spice. They look like small thick nails with a dark brown stem and lighter colored head. Their shape is actually how they got their name, from either the Latin "clavus" or the French “clou” both of which mean nail. They are actually flower buds which come from the tropical evergreen clove tree. This tree produces white flowers after it has been growing about 5 years. The buds are green at first, then start to turn pink as they mature. The buds are hand picked just as they turn pink and are dried in the sun. A clove tree can produce 40 pound of cloves in each harvest."
Did you see "The Spice Trail" series on the BBC recently? They had a program about cloves which may be of interest. It's being repeated next Sunday 20/3 17:30 BBC2.
There are 10 kinds of people in the world, those that understand binary and those that don't.

Living off grid and growing my own food in Bulgaria.....
Does anyone know where i would get a clove plant? ,
Ive searched everywhere and they seem to be totaly unavailable?
I found some seeds on the ground when I was on holiday in the north of Spain this year, took them home to the UK and have managed to get 3 plants to grow indoors from two seed pods, dont think they will grow outside though, so I will attempt to bunsi them for indoors, and I have read that the tree has to be twenty years old to get it to flower, thats were the cloves come from, so try a garden centre for a mature tree if you wish to harvest them, good luck.
