  • Mango Ginger

Is anyone else taking part in the HSL experiment to grow Mango Ginger? I received my rhizome this morning and thought it would be nice to buddy up with other Grapes and see how we get along.

I put my name down for it but haven't had anything yet. Hope I got in quick enough to qualify

You should have done FHG - as 2 weeks ago they hadn't run out!

I am excited now and will definitely join in with mine when I get it - might be on my desk when I get in tomorrow.

I was chuffed when I opened the envelope and out popped the rhizome. Fingers crossed your rhizomes arrive soon.

Nope - mine only arrived at the weekend though.

                I checked today and nothing.....

Mine has been in the greenhouse (under the staging) about 2 weeks now but still no sprouty bits.

Okay, has anyone got any sprouty bits yet? Mine is now starting to look like an old piece of dried up ginger that's been in the cupboard for too long. I'm tempted to stick it in a pot anyway as it's been nearly 2 months since I received it.

I think I'll pot it up and see if it starts sprouting there. It's certainly just drying up where it is.

I was just about to ask the same question My wee tuber is looking pitiful - wrinkly. Time to pop it in a pot then.

After a chat with Mr Frosty, he has started reiki treatments on the tuber and I'll pot the poor thing up on Tuesday.

Okay, told a fib! I planted the tuber today not Tuesday.
