I've never even heard you can grow your own saffron crocus, so I'm very excited to say I've ordered a pack. I love saffron, both in cooking and baking. Interesting project!

I ordered from Suttons, not Dobies as same price, but the advice leaflet suggests that they are particularly hardy. This why I am wavering. Originally I thought pots as I could move them around/give shelter. Now I am thinking permanent bed in the soil, then they can naturalise over time.
