There is a lot to be said about making your own.... Just google two of the following ingredients found in skin care and hair products....it is frightening what companies will do for profit.
    Sodium Lauryl Sulphate
    Propylene glycol

I am now buying the good stuff!!

    Or make my own

Doesn't that just make you smell like you work in the chippy? Or is brown vinegar not the same as malt vinegar?

Yeah it does make you smell like a chippy, but it really works - especially for sunburn, takes the heat out of it and makes you go brown instead of looking like a lobster! Was recommended to me Ma years ago in Italy, altho the lady offered wine vinegar rather than malt...!

I suppose it's possible as long as it is a cotton pillowcase and just that. I don't think putting the whole pillow over your head would be that helpful.

If at first you don't succeed, open a bottle of wine.

Quick face mask. Looks yuk but smells nice and my skin feels great after using it
                        1 tbsp porridge oats
                        1tsp olive oil
                        egg yolk
                        1 tsp honey
smooth it on as you would an exfoliating face wash, then leave on for 15 mins or so before rinsing with warm water. I swear by it.

Got some other recipes i found in a mag, will dig them out and post them

Cold tea works on sunburn too. Dab it on sore bits with a bit of cotton wool.

I've got Herbal Remedies for Dummies here sitting on the shelf virtually untouched. I could slap myself sometimes, the spine isn't even broken.

Catch up with my daily doings at http://kaypeesplot.blogspot.com/ and http://kaypeeslottie.blogspot.com/ but wait a while cos these are well out of date ! Don't want to ditch them entirely cos I'll never remember the urls !
