this also makes a good skin toner, to use in between cleansing and moisturising. but it needs to be kept in the fridge and only lasts a couple of days. adding a couple of drops of vinegar helps to keep it longer.
you know i've never actually tried it as shampoo but we have a huge rosemary bush so now i think i will!

also, adding herbs such as rosemary, lavender and lemonbalm to hot water makes a good facial steam - just put into a bowl, and put a teatowel over your head as you lean over it! good to help cleanse your skin now and again.

Brown/malt vinegar also works very well for those little beasties that children tend to catch at school (nits) Soak hair with diluted vinegar for about 10mins and then rinse, follow by a good combing through with usual comb/conditioner routine and the beasties will be gone. Prevent further infestation with teatree oil; just put a few drips in shampoo/conditioner.

I will be trying some of the above mentioned ideas, they sound great.

Not sure about "silky" but how about "inviting and fresh" ?

2 cups of apple cider vinegar
          2 cups distill water
          10 drops essential rosemary oil

blend the vinegar and oil, rinse into your hair after shampooing. rinse with pure water.

          alternatively ......

Horsetail (Mare's Tail ?)! Bruise the stems, add boiling water. Cover and leave until luke warm and strain. Massage in after shampooing and rinsing. Comb through, cover with warm towel and wait for 10 mins. Dry in the usual way (so I guess you have to leave it on).

Not tried either so don't blame me.

Catch up with my daily doings at http://kaypeesplot.blogspot.com/ and http://kaypeeslottie.blogspot.com/ but wait a while cos these are well out of date ! Don't want to ditch them entirely cos I'll never remember the urls !

I believe natural remedies are the best for my cats! I liberally doused my fizzog in herbs with milk and yoghurt before going to bed.. and woke to find one of my cats enjoying the 'flavours' while washing me clean......Two therapies.. ooooh!
