Mine is a peppery lemony taste and very nice. Can't remember what variety it is but the seeds originally came from the HSL. It will start breaking the soil of the large trough I have it in in the next few weeks. I had been told it was best sown new every year as it became bitter but I've not found this at all. A few young leaves in a salad or omlette is VERY good.

Asda have red veined sorrell with their herb pots of basil, coriander etc. I split it up & planted it in the garden last summer. Dug some up to overwinter in the greenhouse but the plants in the ground are still going strong. They are also selling herbs in the flower/plant dept including sage, curry plant ,thyme & several
varieties of mint incl chocolate & morrocan for £2 each.Comment
