    I dont think sage really cares where it is. I've had two massive bushes [phnar] both in completely dissimilar areas, they both enjoyed it and produced loads, It's probably just bare down the bottom from lack of pruning [i'm not having a dig here, just saying, because it's something I've noticed on one of them]

      When I move plants they often turn up their toes, so I try to get some cuttings before moving things so I have something to work with jic.
