How close should rosemary be to lavender?

How close should rosemary be to lavender?
I thought I'd spaced them out sufficiently, but lavender has grown well and spread and now I am thinking of moving the Rosemary?
At the moment it's ok, but will soon be 'overshadowed' by the Lavender I think, once it comes into flower? I'm thinking along the lines of Rosemary needing more light and sunshine - would it wise to move it and as this is a relatively newsih shrub planted how much will it disturb it?

I've had rosemary in a pot grow to about 3 feet high by 2 feet wide, so it needs plenty of space. I'd move it, myself - I've never had problems with moving/repotting rosemary.

I always underestimate the growth of elderflower bush/tree and other things and then it gets overcrowded - gonna try and move it and take some cuttings too

I have a sneaking suspicion I've done the same in my garden.

I wouldnt have both together anyway, for various reasons, not ness for health reasons for the plants they can be put together, just I personaly feel the scents are too strong to put together to fully appreiciate, Rosemary ive found over the yrs can grow anywhere( priovided you've started it off well mix of sand and a nice compost in planting hole if you have a clay soil, where as lavender does like a well drained soil and a feed every now an then

Rosemary isnt too much of a fussy plant, easier to move I find than a lavender, thats clearly happy

were i live rosemary grows like weeds lol

Have since moved all the lavender forward so that it falls nearly over path as you walk up it, pinks behind and intersperse to form small windbreaks ( along with elderberry tree to one side) for smaller seedlings that I put in today and have found a sunny more exposed/drier spot for the rosemary behind - all seem to be doing fine and it does look better so fingers crossed

I have rosemary, lavender, sage and fennel all crammed in next to each other. They're all marvellously healthy, and just shove each other out of the way at different points in the season
