Hello! I am new here and hoping for some advice. I have grown some herbs indoors and they are getting overcrowded. This was my first attempt at growing herbs from seed and some are still small considering the time of year, but I want to keep them as healthy as I can nevertheless. I have space in the front garden, which is south of my house, and has a tall hedge to the west. There is also some space here and there to the north of the house. Most of it is quite sheltered but there are some sunny spots.
I have basil, parsley, oregano, and thyme. (I also have mint but plan to keep that contained.) I won't be heartbroken if the perennials don't come back next year but would be very happy if they did. I have been hesitating to place them outside because of the terrible weather we have been having, but would it be safe to do so? I am wondering if they might be happier in the ground despite the weather since they would finally have a decent amount of space.
Thank you in advance!
