    Hi all

Last year I went a bit mad and bought quite a few mints....peppermint, chocolate, grapefruit, lime, basil, ginger. berries and cream, swiss and probably a few others! I really enjoyed the differences in taste and smell, especially the lime!

Ive since read that when placed near to each other they lose thier individual characteristics and just become...well mint really!

They are all in pots and Im looking to divide them soon....anyone know how far apart I should keep them?

    Cheers me dears xx

If it is an issue, you can only give them the space you have aavailable so basically give them as much space as you can

Oh they're so lovely, I haven't got as many as you but I love mine!
The one I liked best was a variegated one but I lost it last winter...

Anyway, I divide mine every year and plant them in fresh soil into laaaarge pots, and then the distance between them doesn't matter so much
...bonkers about beans... and now a proud Nutter!

Thanks guys.....although Ive got a large shady space, I like having them close to the house so I can have a snip when I need some whatever the weather!

Didn't know if we had a mint expert on here!
