  • Leggy Lavender

I seeded a tray of lavender this year with a view to starting a bed. The packet said germination could take up to 5 months, so having wrapped the tray in a polythene bag, I promptly forgot about it for a couple of weeks.

However, on checking the tray I found plenty of seedlings poking up, some at this point very leggy.

The tray is now in a sunny spot on my windowsill, with new seedlings still popping up. I'm just wondering if there is anything I can do to improve the leggy ones?

    Thanks for your help

Nothing more than what you have already done. You could put them outside (at least during the day).

Yeah it said 5 months on my packet too. About 4 days or something silly like that.
I've got to pot mine on now.

Yep,my packet says germination 20-90 days,46 of them were up in 6 days (packet content approx 65) heated prop with lid on.

Mine were just in a pot in a bag on the windowsill.

Must have been good lavender seed producing weather last year
