Mine does the same and becomes quite woody....agree with roitelet's suggestion.

I read that mint likes morning sunshine and afternoon shade, so you might be onto something there Fleurisa.

Mine is in shade in the morning, sun in the afternoon!

Mine becomes infested with aphids and is soon disgusting and unusable. This is despite being near a herb garden crawling with predators. I think i need to start it fresh each year.
