  • White froth on Rosemary

I have tried to grow rosemary a couple of times before both in a bed and in a pot and on all occasions the leaves (where they join the stalk) get covered in a whit froth.

Does anyone know what this is and how I can stop it from appearing or how to get rid of it?

    Thanks

    Is it cuckoo spit

It shouldn't effect/ damage the plant significantly. It just looks unpleasant.

Cuckoo spit - just blast it with a water sprayer

As it has very little effect on the plant I'd leave it there. Its part of the food chain for frogs, toads spiders and birds. All of which I attract to the garden if I can as they will also eat other more voracious feeders.
I'm only here cos I got on the wrong bus.

Just remember to rinse it off before putting in your dinner
