Now they've flowered .....

Help please :

Chive and sage have both finished flowering - do I cut off the flowers?
(And if I do, will they flower again ...?)

Chive flowers are nice it eat in a salad just check then for bugs of you get a surprise on your plate.

I only know for Chive and the answer is yes, give it a nice haircut to about an inch above ground and give it a light liquid tomato feed, it will start growing and looking good again. No clue about sage, never grew it.

Chive likes to self seed, so if they've finished I tend to chop them off at seed stage.
Sage I just chop flower off when finished , I've not had mine flower til following yr though.
And as above give me some tom feed.

As the others said re chives. The sage needs quite a hard trim after flowering to stop it going leggy. Cut it back to a new shoot and away you go. Give the chives a haircut several timed during the season so you get nice young growth.
