I'm really, really pleased with my majestic borage plant ~ he's huge and has just started flowering, there's been lots of happy bees buzzing around him..!!
I hadn't realised until today that Borage can be grown as a field crop for its oil. I passed a couple of huge fields in the car today, that expanse of blue looked lovely.
My gardening blog: In Spades, last update 30th April 2018.
Chrysanthemum notes page here.
It's obviously in just the right place and very happy. Looks great
LOVE growing food to eat in my little town back garden. Winter update: currently growing overwintering onions, carrots, lettuce, chard, salad leaves, kale, cabbage, radish, beetroot, garlic, broccoli raab, some herbs.
Lovely plant Susie , I'm keen for some borage next yr , should help the local beekeeper with her honey farm
Funny enough our honey we are having at the moment is borage
I have several which have been flowering for weeks but are now flopping everywhere - can barely see a couple of dahlias! Need more stakes (add to the garlic & I can double up as a vampire hunter )
