I had a self-seeded plant in my garden this year. At first I thought it might be Anise hyssop, which I'd tried a few years before and it died off. But this plant smelled different, like mint, although it didn't seem to be producing runners so I left it in situ. Eventually on a visit to Wisely I ID'd it as Korean mint/Agastache rugosa. It makes a decent herb tea, quite like mint but with a 'warm' aftertaste. So now that it has flowered and set seed I'll encourage it to self-sow more.
I was just wondering though, with its strong scent does it have any reputation as a companion plant?
