  • Spittle bugs on my mint

I have Spittle bugs on my mint , I hear that you need a water hose to dislodge them but I dont have will this portable pressure spray from amazon do the trick ?

Yes, that will work! As long as you wash them off it doesn't matter what you use to be honest. If it's in a pot, chuck them under the tap in the kitchen, use the shower attachment in the bathroom, use s watering can and rub them off, a spray bottle, a hose etc etc they will all do the job.

I like the little fellas I leave them alone. I've never noticed any real harm to the plants.

I usually leave them were they are and get my mint from a different part of the plant.
        Location....East Midlands.

I leave them too as they're not detrimental to the plant.
Even the RHS says they can be tolerated!

As said, unsightly but generally harmless

The speed and tenacity with which Mint grows and holds on to life, I do not think a herd of Elephants could do terminal damage.
As for eating the mint, either wash them off under a tap or eat the meat with the Mint

Feed the soil, not the plants.
