You can also buy a stainless steel spice ball in which you can put your rosemary in , sling it in your pan, and fish it our at the end of cooking.
Wash it up and reuse for next time. A lot easier than muslin I have found.

I use loads of rosemary when cooking.
I find the easiest way is to buy a krups coffee grinder, wash the rosemary and strip it by running your fingers down the stem until you have a pile. then blitz it to a powder in the coffee grinder and freeze it in little pots. I use tiny ones from the range, only about 30p each.
I then use it in rosemary and raisin bread, olive and rosemary sour dough bread, in stuffings, sauces, cream fish sauces and mix it with lemon juice, olive oil pepper and anchovies as a marinade/roasting paste for lamb or beef.
I use stems to flavour and infuse stocks sauces, and cream for chocolate and rosemary ice cream, and then pour the liquid through a sieve to get all the little bits.
If I want to flavour tomato based sauces I add some of the frozen powdered stuff at the end.
Actually I love the coffee grinders and have 2 one for wood dust for the smoker, one for herbs and spices. The only thing I don't use them for is coffee.

Maybe I could lower a sieve into top of soup in slow cooker and put sprigs in that.
Think it might work ?

How about one of those metal tea infusers? Cut the sprig to fit and then pull out the infuser at the end. Easily washable and reusable.

I use the jelly bag I don't need it since I started putting my jams through the Kenwood sieve.

Wish I could stop reading the title as "How to cook with Delia" or some other celebrity chef.
Use old (clean) hankies if you have any lurking in your drawers.Last edited by veggiechicken; 31-01-2017, 12:09 PM.

I've also had a quick look on line....depending on the width it's between £2-3 per metre.
You can make lots with that !
