  • The Chilli & Pepper Seed Circle 2019

    It's that time again folks!

Save 1 variety of chilli with 4-6 seeds per pack.

Peppers and chillies are a little more difficult to save seed, they often don't fruit and they can cross with each other. You can isolate one in the house, or one in the GH, bag the plant or a flower or use the glue method.

    # Please save seed from a good source - no F1s or from plants that have been grown from seed from a chilli found in the bottom of the fridge.

Yes, sweet peppers are more than welcome!

Off the top of my head, I think Snack bites may be F1.... But any sweet pepper thats not an F1 would be fabulous.

Great - I've grown corno di toro rosso a few times and had a reasonable crop.

Far too early to know what I will manage to grow and isolate. Ask me again in September.

How about Chilli pepper Anaheim and hot pepper Serrano?
Be warned I haven't been able to grow peppers to fruit........ever.

And I let you down last year too :-(

I'm never let down by no shows! I didn't even manage to save a bean for the bean circle i was running!
Things happen, life gets in the way sometimes. So please don't be put off by not coming up with the goods.

I'll put you down for those two. why didn't you get fruit last year? Do you grow outside? In pots? In the ground? Let us know how you are growing and someone may be able to give you some top tips
