My Strawberry (Honeoye) is producing lots of runners (2nd batch actually). Would anybody like these in exchange for other strawberry variety (particularly perpetual/everbearing variety) or cuttings of Autumn variety raspberry?

Hi Hawthorn,
I would need at least 6 seeds as Fresca is a 'runnerless' variety. I wouldn't be able to make more plants from runners in future if I like this Fresca strawberry.
How many runners do you need? I started mine from just 3 runners from Wilko and they just keep on producing runners. Do you know if it's okay to pop the runners in the post by 1st class? I've never done this before.Food for Free

Hawthorn,
could you please PM me with your address. I can post it today but I also need to check that postage won't be too colossal.Food for Free

I have some early strawberry runners (cannot remember what variety they are, I will have a look over my allotment tomorrow) they are lovely strawberries, and early. Do you still have any Honeoye to swap? I wanted another variety to follow on.
Thanks

Hi Lizzy,
Sorry I have found people (relative actually) offering to take most of the remaining runners off my hands.
Depending on what you're after, I can still spare one runner if you're only interested in starting a new variety from this one but if you're looking into having enough runners for crop next year, I don't have enough spare going. It's okay, I don't need anything in return for swapping as I'm already swamped with various seeds and you do say yours is also early variety like Honeoye. What variety is it anyway? Are you still interested?Food for Free

Lizzy,
Rapella, what a pretty sounding name! Now this is something I haven't heard of before...now you got me soooo curious. PM your address and I should be able to post tomorrow. Would you like some seeds of Mignonette too, plenty of spares here?Food for Free
