What are 'pot' marigolds? I know 'French' 'African' and 'Common' or calundula.

I have some I've collected from my own plants - they were 'Art Shades' calendulas. PM me if you'd like some.

Pot marigolds are marigolds you can use in the cooking pot Phreddy. Calendula flowers are used in salads but can also be used in cooking as a sort of poor man's saffron.
I also grew up hearing carrots, onions and turnips referred to as pot-herbs because they were the usual constituents of a hot-pot (with a bit of meat if you were well off!) I was also called a pot-herb quite often by my gran when I did something silly.

I have also some seeds collected from a Calendula. Seeds look a bit like mini-boomerangs.
It had really nice, big orange flowerheads, but did not look like the usual Marigold. Am pretty sure though I planted it there.
