Tomatoes

Hello! Newbie here...
I've just moved house and cannot locate my biscuit tin full of seed packets but know it'll turn up soon!
After last year's rain and the ensuing blight killed off all my outdoor tomatoes, I've determined to grow lots of different varieties in the greenhouse and conservatory this year.

Can I therefore ask for different tomato varieties please? I only need a couple of seeds of each one.


I can offer French beans - lots of different varieties as I'm a big fan - can't remember all the names and they're mainly French (ie bought in France) - longio and sans fil spring to mind, also Kingswax (maybe - it's a yellow one anyway - told you I can't find my biscuit tin at the mo) - curly kale, turnips, beetroot, radishes, carrots, broad beans, various lettuces/salad leaves and herbs in exchange. I probably have other things to offer but can't bring them to mind at the moment - these are the seeds I'm pretty sure I can find quickly! If you'd like something not listed here, please ask - may well have something.

Ooh, thanks for the super-fast reply! I'm so ignorant, is that long list reallyh all tomatoes?!! I'd love to try a couple of whatever you can lay your hands on, and I will be happy to send lots of beans! PM-ing you now (if I can work out how to do it)!

Would you like a few Green Zebra - large heritage tom which I've always grown in an unheated greenhouse or conservatory? Or I have a few Black Cherry - small tom, tough-ish skin but great taste. You can have either or both - just let me know. Don't really need a swap but let me have your address by pm if you'd like a few of each.

I have some seed I saved this year from Galina, Irish Gardeners Delight and Old Ivory Egg (all originally Real Seed Catalogue) I can also throw in some French Marigold Seeds I saved, to grow with them if you like.
I would like a couple of Broad Beans please, also can I ask what herbs you have?

Woohoo, guys, j'ai finalement retrouve ma boite a gateaux, in other words, finally found my biscuit tin with my French beans and other fabby stuff I'd (almost) forgotten I had AND (result) the mouse colony who live in my garage where the seeds turned up hadn't discovered them, although they had decimated a bar of Belgian chocolate which was somehow left in another box. (Sensible mice: I'd do the same.)
So the French beans - yer actual bought-in-France-French, hence the accentless French at the beginning of this post (can't get accents to work on here for some reason) - are available and I'll be posting them out on Monday when I go back to work. Thanks for your quick replies and patience! Looking forward to some serious tomato planting now!

Sorry, Manda, I have to agree with Hazel, at least now - come August, when they're fully grown and delicious, I agree that there's nothing to beat strolling out into the garden, picking a few beans, bunging 'em straight on to cook and eating them a few minutes later... but now, on a day when I haven't been able to get warm at all, when it kept threatening to snow (actual SNOWFLAKES fell on me, chaps!), then tiny little French bean "graines" are a bit unpalatable ...and crunchy...

Anyway I'm only saying that cos we've a box of M&S Belgian truffles in the fridge which are absolutely exquisite!!!
