I ate it before at the Thai Resto ( in green curry), it really like giant pea, soft texture but no sweet taste like pea and it doesn't really taste like aubergine too... don't know how to describe the exact taste as it was pretty bland ( it gets the taste from the curry souce). I never grow it too .

I've tried them too when I was in seeing a bit of Thailand, very common in street foods and freshly cooked hot food in the supermarket and I mistook them for peas. We can always buy them fresh from the a specialist Asian store in the city market. You think I could just extract the seeds from the veggie instead?
Think Thai green peas...I'm thinking of Thai green curry already .
No idea Veg as those were sold in the green stage (immature) and it will only provide immature seeds too ( usually it will not germinate) but if you happened to have some, give it a try,who know it work....
Good Luck...
