  • despratley seeking "BLANC ALEMORE" wild strawberry

hi, im looking for the above named wild/alpine strawberry,
this wild strawberry produce WHITE fruits, and PRODUCES RUNNERS
not common on wild whites, it was stocked by READS NURSERY AND AGROFORESTRY REASEARCH but seem to have been dropped,
i believe its a little volatile, the original plant dies after fruiting and only the runners are left, mine after 2 years of producing white fruited runners unbelivably fruited red on the 3rd year, these plants eventually perished,
seems very suseptable to disease, and on planting the seeds from blanc alemore for an experiment i produced 30 plants and only 1 produced fruit,
which was v.poor quality, these plants also produce runners, i grubbed these plants out,
i believe reads nursery had these plants from an old gardener, and now i cant find an original plant anywere, any info on tracking this veriety down appriciated, willing to swop seeds of rare/hairloom toms/pumpkins, rare fruit etc or pay money, many thanks stew

Does 'Improved Ruegen' produce runners for a wild/alpine strawberry? Is that what the 'improved' version is for ?
