  • Anyone got any unusual Jalapeno seeds?

Has anyone got a few spare unusual Jalapeno chilli seeds? We eat lots of pickled Jalapenos in this house and I'm going to try bottling them myself this year, and it occured to me something unusual might be nice.

I have lots of seeds (nothing all that unusual, unfortunatly) to swap, or I'd send an SAE?

I have loads of cayenne pepper seeds and some unknown variety of chilli (doesn't say on the packet) I can share some of.

I've seen your jalapeno piccy's you're going great guns there! I've got some purple jalapenos & jalapenos going too, so not really looking for those. Was just interested in how many types there where.

Am really interested in trying some aji dulce ones - they look like habaneros but aren't hot, they're 'smokey/fruity'. Got any?

I assume you mean large Jalapenos

Are they hot or mild? I am trying different types of mild chilli this year as we ended up giving all ours to the local Indian restaurant last year.

Depend what you call hot, I like eating habanero chillis and drinking tabasco sauce from the bottle and I think the habaneros are mild and the tabasco has no heat at all. But if you think that tabasco is hot then your probably better staying away from jalapenos.

Thanks for that. I am growing Jalapeno Tam which is a no-heat version - we are chilli beginners and can't take the heat of even a cayenne!
